When I left law school after more than a year and a half of torture, I needed any job I could get. I was offered a role in HR, and never looked back.
•HSBC HR Leadership Roles:
I held various HR leadership roles at HSBC. Prior to my departure, I was the Senior Vice President and Head of HR for the US Wealth Management Division.
•Explored Life Sciences:
Eager to experience working in an area other than financial services, I stumbled upon an HR role in the life science industry. This is where my fascination with identifying high-potential employees and the behaviors that drive career success began.
•Who Says Insurance is Boring?:
I joined Hiscox, an international specialist insurance company, as the Head of HR for their US operations. In addition to my US role, I raised my hand to run the talent program globally. It was a great opportunity to broaden my influence on a global scale, and I have a soft spot for all things British!
•Evolution to Global Talent Director:
Hiscox created a new full-time Global Talent Director role, and I was offered the position. In this role, I created high-potential talent identification/development programs and monitored progress for succession planning purposes.
•Career Coach...My Sweet Spot:
Throughout my career, I'm proud to say I’ve had career conversations with people from many different countries, ranging from more junior employees to senior leaders. Now, I have my own practice and am ready to focus on my sweet spot: coaching people 1-on-1.
